Dr Kirsten Stewart-Knight is a Chartered Clinical Psychologist with particular expertise in working with people across the life span where physical and emotional difficulties are impacting their quality of life. She has worked across a range of NHS settings since 2010 and currently holds a post at Guy's and St Thomas' Hospital, where she is helping to develop new services in Oncology, Palliative Care and Respiratory.
Throughout her career Kirsten has been interested in the significant impact that stressful experiences can have on wellbeing. She works with her clients to build warm, trusting and collaborative relationships through which psychological ideas and approaches can be shared. Kirsten supports people to develop or extend their confidence in coping with whatever challenges bring them to psychology.
Kirsten uses a range of approaches including systemic family therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy and narrative therapy. She is a member of the British Psychological Society and a Chartered Psychologist with the Health and Care Professionals Council.
